The harsh chemicals have finally taken a huge toll on our skins. The glowing, healthy, flawless, supple skin is replaced with a flaky, blemished, wrinkled and ugly looking skin, which makes one look like an old haggard. Now what? It is still not too late to move to Ayurvedic skincare products. Ingredients used in Skin Care Products and its effect:
Sesame oil: being easily absorbed, removes toxins, smooths the skin, giving it a youthful glow
Cow’s milk: is known to improve the complexion, works as a cleanser and shrinks the pores, removes dead cells and smoothes fine lines
Essential oils of rosewood, lavender, ylang ylang: is known to heal skin irritation and controls wrinkles
Shatavari: offers deep moisturizing, rejuvenates the skin
Indian ginseng (Ashwagandha): has anti-aging properties, works as a toner, treats dark circles and improves complexion
Rubia cordifolia (manjishta): in combination with red sandalwood makes the skin fair
Arjuna : is ideal to treat acne and skin discoloration
Saffron: the ‘elixir’ for the skin, lightens the complexion
Indian sweet fennel: has antiseptic property, which helps in preventing skin infections and acne. The antioxidant properties reduce dark spots and fine lines
Neem: in form or oil or extract has anti-fungal properties and versatile healing action
Indian goose berry (Amla): reduces pigmentation, astringent properties help reduce fine lines, reduces acne and pimples
Orange peel: cures blackheads, removes dead skin, dark circles and controls acne
Kapoor kachora: soothes the skin, treatment of acne,
Turmeric: prevents bacterial infection and brightens the skin by maintaining the pH balance
Aloe vera: heals skin cuts and renews cell
